1 unbaked 9inch23cmfrozen deep dish pie shell
2 ½ cups625mLsliced cremini mushrooms
¼ cup60mLchopped shallots
1 can354mLCarnation® Regular or 2% Evaporated Milk
2 tsp10mLhot sauce
1½ cups375mLgrated white cheddar
1 : Preheat oven at 375ºF (190ºC).
2 : Melt butter in a frying pan until melted. Add shallots and sauté until they begin to soften about 2 minutes.
3 : Add mushrooms and sauté until mushrooms are tender and beginning to brown, about 8 minutes. Reserve
4 : Whisk eggs, evaporated milk, salt, pepper and hot sauce in a large bowl.
5 : Stir in grated white cheddar and mushrooms.
6 : Pour filling into crust.
7 : Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and just set in the centre. Cool for 15 minutes and serve.
