Ingredients :

8 oz250 ggoat cheese, room temperature

1/2 cup125 mLCarnation® Regular, 2% or Fat Free Evaporated Milk

1clove garlic, minced

1 tsp5 mLlemon zest

Directions :

  1 :  Blend goat cheese, garlic, lemon zest and milk in a processor until smooth. Transfer to a small bowl. Serve as is or follow

Variations:

  2 :  Goat Cheese and Herbed Dip: After preparing dip stir in 3 tbsp (45mL) chopped fresh chives and 1 tbsp (15mL) chopped fresh thyme. Add ¼ tsp (1mL) hot sauce if desired. You can replace the herbs with whatever you have on hand; parsley, cilantro or basil will work well.

  3 :  Goat Cheese and Sundried Tomato Dip: For another version stir in 2 tbsp (30mL) chopped sundried tomatoes and 2 tbsp (30mL) chopped fresh basil to the basic dip recipe.

  4 :  Serve dips with your favourite crackers, breads and raw vegetables.

Tip(s)

Dips can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before serving. If the dips thickens up, just thin out with a little extra milk.
