Who is Giuliana De Sio
Giuliana De Sio (Salerno, 2 April 1956) is an Italian actress. He grew up in a town in the province of Salerno until the end of his studies and then moved to Rome with a friend as soon as he turned 18.
Here it fits into a hippie community and meets the group leader with whom she falls in love and with whom she lives an adventurous love story.
After this fiery moment she meets Alessandro Haber who sees potential in her and pushes her to become an actress.
He then takes some photographs of her to an agent and within a few days he is confronted three specimens between cinema and theater. He immediately gets all the parts but she decides to go to the world of TV with “Una donna”, a Rai project based on the novel by Aleramo.
The start of projects on small and large screens
Only a year after his debut he found himself alongside actors like Marcello Mastroianni with the project “Dirty hands”.
He participates in numerous important projects including Odorisio’s “Sciopèn” and Massimo Troisi’s “Sorry for the delay”. However, the first recognition arrives with “Me, Chiara and Io Scuro” by Maurizio Ponzi with which he manages to obtain the David by Donatello.
He returns to work with the same director also in 1996 with “Italiani”, “Besame Mucho” in 1999 and finally “A luci spente”. He gets his according to David with “Bad”, a project by Carlo Lizzani that highlights her skills as a dramatic actress. However, it is not only suitable for these parts, also because there are several funny films that see it as the protagonist.
The career after the beginning of the 2000s
With the advent of the new millennium, he leaves the big screen for a while return to television with “The friends of Jesus – Mary Magdalene”, “The beauty of women” and “Mogli in pieces”. Although early in his career he had decided to put aside the theater, recovers it in this period of his life by staging pieces such as “Night of a woman with guests” and “The graduate”.
After a period of being away from the set due to some health problems, she returned to operation in September 2012 taking part in the fiction “Honor and respect – Part Three” with the role of the Sicilian mafia. He then takes part in the “Rudolph Valentino – The Legend” project, a miniseries dedicated to the great Italian designer. In recent years he participates in different fiction including the sequel to “The beauty of women” and “Love think about you”.
