Barbara Stanwyck, stage name of Ruby Catherine Stevens (Brooklyn, July 16, 1907 – Santa Monica, January 20, 1990), was an American actress. It grows in a difficult environment together with 4 siblings who were orphaned at a young age, thus passing from one family to another. Life does not prove easy for her, but thanks to her sister she succeeds in obtaining different job opportunities in the entertainment world.

After their separation, the actress married again in 1939 with Robert Taylor, what she described as the true great love of her life.
