In the meantime, however, I have been summoned by the president Barachini of the Rai Supervisory Committee: this will therefore be the seat to clarify and at the moment any declaration of mine on the matter is therefore inappropriate. However, I can share what has already been made public by some newspapers, La Repubblica in primis, or the full conversation of the deputy director Ilaria Capitani (to whom my human closeness and my professional esteem goes) with Fedez and that I invite you to listen carefully, comparing it with the version published by the artist. One immediately realizes that in her version there are serious omissions and that these cuts objectively alter the meaning of what the deputy director said, who in the interview firmly excludes, twice, any censorial intention and that to the explicit question of the artist if she can express considerations that she deems inappropriate but he appropriate she responds with a clear “absolutely”. But there is no trace of this in Fedez’s version. Frankly, I am always sorry when conversations are manipulated to assert one’s reasons: that an artist of the caliber of Fedez did it, who is also a positive reference for many young people, I’m even more sorry. How sorry I am that many, too many, immediately took his statements for granted without even taking the time for a prudent study to understand if there was another version, a different truth. But unfortunately we know: in the days of social media, speed counts more than thoughtfulness.
