His father is also on his back: he wants his son to be settled and to find a real job, a stable job. Exasperated and upset, Barnaba decides to leave home and takes refuge with his friend Jacopo Degli Orti.
Barnabas’ old friend, Jacopo, is not a less problematic person. In fact, he suffers from abandonment syndrome, is introverted and shy and often attempts suicide. Jacopo was also abandoned at the altar and all his problems arose from this.
The fate of these two young and problematic Neapolitans will cross that of a girl from Northern Italy, Sonia. The girl, determined to escape from the clutches of her father who wants to force her to work in the family business, agrees to restore a church in Naples even if she suffers from Stendhal’s syndrome. The meeting between the three protagonists will lead to a definitive change in their lives, in the perspective of one greater positivity and optimism.
