“I do not give up”, tonight on TV: the plot of the film
“I do not give up” will be broadcast tonight on TV at 21.25 on Rai1. The plot of the film sees as protagonists the great actor Beppe Fiorello and a cast of equal respect with Elena Tchepeleva, Massimo Popolizio and Paolo Briguglia. The film is directed by Enzo Monteleone and tells a dramatic story but very topical inspired by the figure of Roberto Mancini.
The film is, in reality, an Italian television miniseries in two episodes broadcast, for the first time, on 15 and 16 February 2016 on Rai 1. Roberto Mancini, figure who inspired the film, he is the Roman deputy commissioner who first brought to light the drama the illegal dumping of toxic waste in Campania. In “Io non mi surrendo”, Marco Giordano, a young provincial inspector, together with a group of collaborators (Rino, Lucio, Alessio and Michele) discovers the traffic of toxic waste in the illegal landfills of the Terra dei Fuochi.
Managed by the Camorra, the traffic culminated in the landfills between Naples and Caserta.
However the course of his investigations will be hindered in every way and silenced. After ten years, a magistrate pushes Marco to reopen the case so that, once and for all, the truth is discovered.
The places of the film
The miniseries is produced by Rai Fiction, Picomedia and Iblafilm by Giuseppe Fiorello, also collaborator on the screenplay, with the support of the Apulia Film Commission.
