Who is Marco Giallini
Marco Giallini (Rome, April 4, 1963) is an Italian actor. He starts acting at the age of 22 when he decides to attend “La Scaletta”, theater school of Rome.
In these years he received his first opportunities in the world of theater by collaborating with big names in the sector.
Then comes in 1986 the moment when debuts in cinema thanks to the film “Department stores” and the following year he took part in the cast of “Rorret”.
The first real success, however, is recorded with “Next year I go to bed at ten” a project by Angelo Orlando.
The beginning of the film career
After some directors notice his works begin increasingly important parts. Marco Risi chooses him in 1998 to join Monica Bellucci in “The Last New Year”. All this thanks to Valerio Mastandrea with whom he then becomes the protagonist in “The smell of the night”.
With the arrival of the 2000s his career begins to take off and bring him real success. He gets parts that are highly acclaimed by audiences and critics, as in the case of “Almost Blue” presented at the Cannes Film Festival. A long series of exciting projects including “Three point six”, “Emma is me” or “Do not move”.
The great success and the awards
The true support from the public comes with his participation in “Romanzo criminale” and “Io, them and Lara”, a film by Carlo Verdone. In 2009 he then joined the cast of TV series “The new team” and the following year he took part in Sergio Castellitto’s film “The beauty of the donkey”.
The role of policeman also accompanies him in 2012 when he takes part in the film “ACAB – All Cops Are Bastards” with which he obtained the Silver Ribbon for Best Supporting Actor. Here are some of his greatest hits including “All against all”, “Good morning dad”, “Them who?”, But above all “Perfect strangers”. Paolo Genovese’s project gives him the David by Donatello for Best Actor in a Leading Role. In 2016 he also got the main role in the Rai series “Rocco Schiavone”.
