Who is Nino D’Angelo
Nino D’Angelo, born Gaetano D’Angelo (Naples, 21 June 1957), is an Italian singer-songwriter and actor.
It grows in the numerous family made up of six children, the worker father and the housewife mother in Casoria. Childhood is not always easy due to the precarious economic situation of the family that leads him to find a job from a very young age. In fact, he leaves school to start working as an ice cream maker e singer ai matrimoni.

Numerous projects followed, including “L’ave maria”, “The student”, “Betrayal” and many others. The following year he made a combination of cinematography and discography with “Nu jeans e ‘na t-shirt” with which he obtains great success and becomes a well-known character.
Numerous projects follow that see him continuously divided between the world of music and films. Record hits like “Under ‘and stars” and “Come on champion”, two much loved albums by the public and with whom it lays the foundations for participation a Sanremo in 1986. Thus he also begins to organize world tours who see him in Germany, Belgium, France but also in the United States, a goal reached until then only by Adriano Celentano.
There are big news in 1990 when he loses his parents and falls into a period of severe depression. His musical production is also affected, now more intimate and profound, and his style which is now characterized by a more casual haircut. There is no shortage of film projects that also see him in films presented at the Venice Film Festival as “Life in the flight of an angel”. In recent years it obtains the David by Donatello as best musician and the Silver ribbon for the best music.
Nino D’Angelo and the advent of the 2000s
In 1999 he returned to the Sanremo Festival with “Without jacket and tie” obtaining the critics’ prize. Participates a few years later with the song “Marì” which is part of production dedicated to the 25 years of his career enjoying great success.
In the course of the new millennium there is a moment of artistic maturity with “Gioia Nova”. Although the artist had no intention of writing new pieces, he declared that he was inspired by the birth of his niece. This project is followed by “D’angelo canta Bruni” in which Nino takes up the successes of Sergio Bruni entering the ranking of the 100 best-selling CDs in Italy. However, his achievements do not stop there and continue throughout the 10’s and beyond.
