Nayt, so he decided to be called the new star of Italian rap. But Nayt who he is, that’s his real name? The young talent is called William Mezzanotte and is already highly appreciated by the young audience. He is only 27 years old, class 94, and on Spotify he already boasts 30 million plays.

Nayt: who is and private life
William Midnight was born in Isernia on November 9, 1994. He moved to Rome at a young age. Hers is a humble family and a life in which the interspersed economic difficulties to the small precarious jobs he accepts.
He immediately fell in love with rap, frequenting the corners of the capital where rap is a mantra. He also does some stunts, petty thefts and perhaps some teenage brawls but he certainly does not describe himself as a boy who loves making noise. His passion is music and his thoughts on the world around him express it through the texts of his pieces.
Nayt’s main hits
The first attempts to carve out a space in the Italian music scene were not worthy of note but already in 2011 his song No Story manages to win over a good chunk of listeners.
This first small success leads him to the right path and gets a contract with 40 Ladroni Records founded by G-LU. From there Nayt’s first album: Nayt One. The twelve tracks on the album contain collaborations with Emis Killa, G-LU himself and others. Nayt continues to arrange songs and in 2014 So.Lo, her second album, is released. In 2015 he released his second mixtape (the first he had released in 2013) called Raptus. Raptus is actually a rapper’s project organized into a trilogy. Several singles contained in Raptus become successful. In 2017 with his third album Raptus Vol. 2 he continues to collaborate with leading names of the Italian rapper such as Gemitaz and Skioffi. Real success comes in 2019 with Raptus Vol. 3 which will be included, together with the other two, in the reissue of the trilogy entitled Raptus Collection.
From the climb to 30 million listeners
Also in 2019, now well known, Nayt publishes Good Vibes in collaboration with Gemitaz and Fame. From there, in the meantime participates in the songs of great artists such as Clementino and Emis Killa. In 2020 it’s the turn of FIGHT! and Trip songs in collaboration with two other artists. His most viewed song on YouTube remains Tiger’s Eyes with 15 million views. On Spotify Nayt boasts well 30 million listeners. In a recent interview with Le Iene Nayt he declares himself as a talented artist, with clear ideas about society and with the desire to communicate them to an ever wider audience. Still in the same interview, he is considered, without too many words, the most talented Italian rapper of today while confirming his respect for the big names of the past like Fabri Fibra. It is now known that Nayt’s better half is the brilliant one Matilda De Angelis.
