James Edward Franco (born April 19, 1978) is an American actor. She grew up in California with her mother a poet and publisher, her father the director of a non-profit and two younger brothers.
During the compulsory school years starts acting in school plays for passion.
When he enrolls at the University of California, however, he realizes that school plays were much more important than he thought and so he abandoned his studies to devote himself to his career taking lessons from some industry experts.
The beginning of the film career
Thus he began to participate in various auditions, obtaining his own in 1999 first major role in the cast of “Freaks and Geeks” in the role of the protagonist. He later plays other highly successful characters such as James Dean in the film about his life winning a Golden Globe for his performance.
In 2002 he began to be part of the cast of Spider-Man and in the same year he joined Robert De Niro in the film “Guilty of murder”. For the roles he plays he often demonstrates a great willpower of empathize perfectly.
In fact, for his films he started smoking, playing the guitar, riding a motorcycle and driving a plane.
Success as an actor and industry experiments
Once his success has been consolidated, he decides to take back the school materials e obtain a degree bequest pending. He took the title home in 2008 and then moved to New York to take writing classes at Columbia University.
He soon returns to the scene with several successful projects including “127 hours” which leads him to obtain the Oscar nomination for Best Actor. Subsequently, among his numerous projects, he also included some made by him, such as “Saturday Night”, the documentary that describes how the production of an episode of Saturday Night Live works.
