With bad boy charm and film roles that mirror this image of his, Gabriel Garko is now known for having taken part in some of the most successful dramas in Italy such as the note “Honor and Respect”.
Who is Gabriel Garko
Dario Gabriel Oliviero, known as Gabriel Garko (Turin, 12 July 1972), is an Italian actor. He grew up in the Piedmontese capital with his sisters, his mother Isabella and his father Claudio. From a young age he understands that he can be successful through his looks and in fact wins the contest “The most beautiful in Italy”. He gradually enters the world of entertainment first through photo novels and then in the dance troupe of the television program “Scherzi a parte”.
He made his debut as a leading actor in 1995 in short film “Too hot” alongside Francesca Dellera. The project presented at the Venice Film Festival sees him in collaboration with the director Roberto Rocco who also directs it in some fiction following.
In fact, he takes part in “Una donna in flight” and “Angelo nero” alongside well-known actors such as Giuliana De Sio, Massimo Ranieri and many others.
The beginning of Gabriel Garko’s career
To give him great success, however, will be the TV shows, a project that inaugurated in 1996 with “The lady of the city”. This is followed by “Three stars”, “Villa Ada”, “The beauty of women” and many others. Alongside these also some films such as “Callas forever” and “Senso 45” in which, moreover, he realizes full nude scenes. In 2002 he also created an artistic nude calendar for the magazine Max.
In 2006 he was chosen as the protagonist of the hugely successful series “The honor and the respect” in which she acts alongside Manuela Arcuri, Serena Autieri and Giancarlo Giannini. After this winning project he also returns to the cinema with Leonardo Pieraccioni’s film “A beautiful wife” and then devotes himself again to the sequel to “Honor and respect”.
In the autumn of the following year he took part in the film together with Sabrina Ferilli “Hot Criminal” and of the television series “Sin and shame” where he plays a fascist policeman during the Second World War, again alongside Manuela Arcuri. For the part of Nito Valdi he received numerous threats as he was identified by the public as the one who is the worst character on television.

In 2012 he made the third part of “Honor and Respect” which in the meantime has collected new actors for its cast, further increasing its following and winning the audience award at the Rome Fiction Fest. He also starred in “Misunderstood”, an Asia Argento film alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg that did not get the hoped-for success. This is followed by the miniseries “Rodolfo Valentino – The legend” about the life of the well-known designer.
He returns to take part in some fiction in 2015 when he participates in the fourth season of “The honor and respect” followed by the fifth and last which is broadcast two years later. While retiring from the scene after this project, he continues to participate as guest in numerous television programs.
