Who is Frances McDormand
Frances Louise McDormand, initially born with the name of Cynthia Ann Smith (Gibson City, June 23, 1957), is an American actress.
Canadian by origin, he was born in the state of Illinois and grew up together with adoptive family composed by Norren Nickelson and Vernon McDormand who rename it with its current name. She grew up in a religious context as her father is a pastor of the “Disciples of Christ” congregation and her mother is a parishioner. Her father’s work led her and the other children adopted by the couple to numerous transfers for the United States.
After living in towns in Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee and Kentucky, they choose to settle permanently in Pennsylvania, more precisely in Pittsburgh where the high school course ends. Graduated in 1975 then decides to study at Bethany College, Virginia, for specialize in theater.
Later he enrolls in a master’s degree in the acting section of Yale where he meets and shares a room with Holly Hunter. At the end of the journey he begins with “Trinidad and Tobago” by the poet Derek Walcott.

Frances has indeed taken part in numerous hugely successful films as “Guilty of Murder” alongside Robert De Niro and James Franco or “Anything Can Happen” with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. An important milestone in his career is also “This Must Be the Place” a huge success directed by Paolo Sorrentino.
Later he also takes part in the well-known Wes Anderson’s film “Moonrise Kingdom – A Love Escape” and in Michael Bay’s “Trasnformers 3”. He also returns to collaborate with the Coen brothers in 2016 when he takes part in the film “Ave, Cesare!” next to George Clooney.
