Known for his role as committed singer and songwriter Fabrizio Moro is today one of the most loved artists in Italy.
Who is Fabrizio Moro
Fabrizio Moro, stage name of Fabrizio Mobrici (Rome, 9 April 1975), is an Italian singer-songwriter.
He grew up with his Calabrian parents and moved several times during his childhood and soon becoming passionate about the world of music.
In fact, he began as a young man a perform live in clubs in the area playing purely pop and rock music, often offering covers by U2, Guns N ‘Roses and The Doors.
He then published his own in 1996 first single entitled “For a whole different destination” but he has to wait for the new millennium to be able to release his first album.
The beginning of an artistic and musical career
It also participates in the Sanremo Festival in the Youth category with the piece “A day without end” which allows him to achieve a good reputation. Several years later he participates again with the song “Pensa”, a dedication to the victims of the Mafia that allows him to obtain the Critics’ Mia Martini Award.
In 2007 he released his third album which is immediately certified platinum and which allows him to organize his first small tour in two cities of Italy. In recent years it is often awarded and defined “Committed artist” for the themes he chooses and the video clips he makes.
The following year with his third participation in the Festival, this time among the Champions, he reaches the third place and gains more and more fame.
The great success and the victory in Sanremo
Over the following years he continues his musical production that wants to continue to propose important themes. It also continues its participation in well-known musical events and he also founded his own record label after leaving Warner Music Italy.
His full role as an artist is also seen as simple author for other people’s songs. In fact, he wrote pieces for artists such as Noemi or Emma Marrone for the album “Schiena”, but also for the emerging Elodie during her period as a professor in the school of Amici.
In 2017 he participates again in the Sanremo Festival finishing seventh with “Take me away” but the great satisfaction comes the following year with the victory together with Ermal Meta for the piece “You did nothing to me”.
