Calcutta, stage name of Edoardo D’Erme (Latina, April 19, 1989), is an Italian singer-songwriter.

Prove her passion for music from a young age performing for clubs with the different groups he had. In 2009 the duo “Calcutta” was born but soon separated and the singer from Lazio decided to keep it as a pseudonym for himself.

In 2012 he recorded his album with the title Geograph Records “Maybe…” which he then presents in various clubs in Italy and which lead him to meet more and more artists to collaborate with such as Davide Panizza of Pop X, his colleague and friend, and Niccolò Contessa of I Cani. The latter is fundamental in the development of his career.

The beginning of the career with Mainstream

In fact, in 2015 together with Contessa and Marta Venturini he created “Mainstream” his second album which officially brings him to fame.

He makes himself known with the songs “What I miss to do”, “Gaetano”, and “Horoscope”. The success is extraordinary and Calcutta immediately begins a national tour to promote his project.

Meantime knows more and more artists with whom he collaborates both as a songwriter, but also as a singer with features. Among the latter, the songs made with Francesca Michielin (I don’t live by the sea) and with Nina Zilli (You made me late) have become very well known.

The consolidated success with Evergreen

Concluded the success of the second album is ready to release the third that anticipates with the singles “Orgasmo” and “Pesto” part of the album released in April 2018 by title “Evergreen”.
