What to watch on Prime Video in April 2021
As is traditional for the most loyal and a new habit for the latest subscribers, every month the Amazon streaming platform updates the online catalog. Needless to say the offer is always wide and very varied, including films, TV series and documentaries. In fact, there are genres for every taste and every need, with new releases, comedy programs, original Prime Video productions, cult programs, etc.
In short, even for April, we can rest assured because we will always be busy with new exclusives! As for the movies, we have, also in this new month, thrillers, romantics, comedies, dramas and autobiographies. Instead, when it comes to TV series, you can’t miss the funny ones like the brand new Italian LOL: who laughs is out, then the historical ones and those steeped in noir and spy. Obviously that’s not all: we see below the complete and updated catalog.
Movie
Starting from the “film” trend, we find the title of at the top of the list Alice and Peter. An incredible, fantastic and decidedly surprising story that mixes two cult animated films, Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland. The two protagonists, in fact, before being the characters of those two films, were brothers but, due to an unforeseen event, they are destined to separate.
But let’s not forget about Without Remorse by Tom Clancy: based on the novel of the same name, the film tells the origins of John Clark, a Navy Seal seeking revenge for the murder of his pregnant wife. A captivating story that will keep us in suspense until the very end.
Turning now to the autobiographical genre, we find The glass castle, the true story of the American journalist Jeannette Walls. A raw but totally deep and dramatic story, which explores the most hidden areas of the human soul, leaving behind it emptiness and reflection. Finally, among the thrillers, we must absolutely mention Miss Sloane – Power games, which reveals much about the hidden world of the lobby and its techniques of influencing the law and institutions.
TV series
Moving on to the TV series, as mentioned at the beginning, the first in the ranking to remember is the comedy series LOL: Who laughs is out, conducted by Fedez and Mara Maionchi. A program to be laughed at but woe to those who dare to do it: it will be thrown out!
And instead, returning more serious, we recommend the horror series Them, set in the 1950s. It tells of how a South African family, who moved to Los Angeles in a neighborhood of whites only, found themselves living in a house possessed of both real and supernatural demons. But the real question is: will they be able to survive?
