The director Joss Whedon in collaboration with HBO has given life to a new TV series on the fantasy-historical genre set in the Victorian era, The Nevers: we see below the plot, cast, release date and on which platform it will be broadcast.

Set in Victorian London, the epic-historical-sci-fi TV series The Nevers tells the story and adventures of a group of women, The Touched, who discover they possess unusual, special and peculiar abilities. Their task will be to fight and fight against unstoppable enemies for a mission that could make them change the world.
The TV series, for the moment consisting of a single first season, is divided into 10 episodes lasting about 50-60 minutes each.
Written by Joss Whedon with Jane Espenson and Doug Petrie, is directed by director Joss Whedon in collaboration with HBO.
Cast
As for the cast of the historical-fantasy TV series The Nevers, we find as main characters:
- Laura Donnelly is the protagonist Amalia True, an impulsive and emotionally damaged heroine, is part of the group of women The Touched;
- Olivia Williams is Lavinia Bidlow, another member of The Touched group;
- James Norton is Hugo Swan, an elegant guy who runs a secret club, is fascinated by the group of The Touched;
- Tom Riley he is Augustus Augie Bidlow, Lavinia’s younger brother and Hugo Swan’s best friend;
- Ann Skelly she is Penance Adair, an Irish woman, Amalia’s closest friend and one of the first supporters of the cause;
- Ben Chaplin it is Detective Frank Mundi who suspects everyone;
- Pip Torrens he is Lord Massen, a resolute man intent on maintaining and restoring order;
- Zackary Momoh he is doctor Horatio Cousens, whose life is destined to change when he meets Amalia;
- Amy Manson she is Maladie, interned by her husband and declared psychologically unstable, a victim of doctors and his power.
Release date and streaming
If for a long time the release date remained a secret as much of the TV series itself is, now it is no longer a secret. The Nevers will be available starting April 12, 2021 and will be broadcast on Sky.
