Who is Achille Lauro
Achille Lauro, stage name of Lauro De Marinis (Verona, 11 July 1990), is an Italian singer-songwriter. He grew up with his father Nicola, a magistrate and university professor, and his mother Cristina in the city of Rome. He then moved with his brother when he was only 14 and here he began to get serious about music, especially of underground rap and punk rock.
Become part of the Fourth Block and here he decides to change his name to choose a pseudonym. In 2012 he published the “Barabba Mixtape”, an independent production followed by “Harvard Mixtape” with which he became one of the biggest names in the musical collective. He manages to get the esteem of well-known artists including Noyz Narcos who introduces him to the Rock Music, the label where Marracash is producer.
Musical career of Achille Lauro
With the production of “Achilles Idol Immortal” in 2015, he achieved great success to the point of releasing a new EP in the same year. However, he abandoned the label the following year with the desire to found his own: la No Face Agency. Here he immediately sets to work to make his third studio album that witnesses the birth of the artistic partnership of the decade: the one with the producer Boss Doms.
At the beginning of 2018 he releases the disc launch singles “Pour ama” which is proposed as a fusion, experimental project, which combines house and trap sounds with the Neapolitan and South American tradition. Lauro to accomplish this and two subsequent parts of the trilogy, lived a period of seclusion in a villa together with the artists in collaboration to stimulate creativity.
In 2019 he participates for the first time in the Sanremo Festival with “Rolls Royce”, a piece that traces the years of rock music idols such as Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, Armstrong and many others. A few months later the public singing contest “C’est la vie”, the launch single from the new album “1969”. The following year he returns to the Ariston with “I do not care” achieving great success to the point of being reconfirmed in 2021 as a guest for every evening with a project of musical paintings.
Achille Lauro between cinema and reality
In addition to musical projects, Lauro has participated in some Television programs but also cinematographic films. In 2017 together with Boss Doms he takes part in “Beijing Express” where we recall in particular the discussion with Antonella Elia. The following year he participates as a producer at short “Terrurism” in which he appears in a cameo and then also takes part in the feature film “Applause” also made in 2018.
This is followed by “Happy Birthday” presented at the Venice Film Festival, and “No face 1” a autobiographical documentary. It also returns paired with Boss Doms to participate in the second edition of “Celebrity Hunted” a reality show by Prime Video. In 2019 it leads “Extra Factor” with actress Pilar Fogliati after having participated in the past as Mara Maionchi’s right arm.
