John Stephen Goodman (Saint Louis, June 20, 1952) is an American actor.
She grows up in the state of Missouri along with her mother and siblings as her father, Leslie, dies of a heart attack two years after the birth of her son. Attend Affton High School and then enroll at Sputhwest Missouri State University with one scholarship sporty.
Shortly after the start of the courses, however, he decides to give up the sporting aspect to devote himself to world of acting. He obtains a degree in the arts and leaves for New York where he begins acting in the theater, on TV thanks to some commercials and later also in the world of cinema.
The beginning of John Goodman’s career
He immediately became famous especially for a series of comic roles including the one in “Pappa e ciccia” or Fred Flintstone in the film that incorporates the well-known cartoon.
He then participates in the films of the Coen brothers and is also remembered for being the companion of Al Pacino in “Dangerous Seduction”. Among the most famous films we cannot fail to mention “The Big Lebowski” in which he stars opposite Jeff Bridges and in “The Touch of Evil” with Denzel Washington.
In 2000 he also gets his own sitcom from the name “Normal, Ohio” in which it tells the story of a gay man who returns to live in his hometown and starts from scratch. Several years later he participated in the “Center of the Universe” series produced by CBS. In addition to TV series and movies, Goodman is also an extremely successful host and indeed presents “Saturday Night Live” for thirteen years, the same one who had rejected him as a comedian in the 1980s.
