Michele Battiato is one of the most dear people of the teacher and singer-songwriter Franco Battiato.
Michele is the eldest of the brothers Battiato and was often his spokesperson during the period of the long illness that befell his brother. The Sicilian singer-songwriter had no wife or children and a always be close to him it was mainly his brother Michele and his daughter, Cristina, who is a lawyer. It’s just the niece Cristina that the master Battiato left all his possessions, being she the only beneficiary of Franco’s inheritance.

Michele immediately denied the news, saying that he would never allow himself to put the villa up for sale, since Franco was obviously against the initiative. In other interviews, however, Michele Battiato stated that Villa Grazia had actually been put up for sale for a period, but probably all of this was blocked with the illness of his brother singer-songwriter, who died in his beloved home in Milo on May 18, 2021.
