Dolcenera, stage name of Emanuela Trane (Galatina, May 16, 1977), is an Italian singer-songwriter.
He was born in the province of Lecce and here he spent all his early childhood and adolescence with his parents and brother. Discover the passion for music from a very young age starting to play the piano, followed by clarinet and singing. During his high school years he starts performing live with his band and writing the first songs, but in these years music is just a hobby.
In fact, he obtained the classical high school diploma followed by enrollment at the University of Florence in mechanical engineering. In these years he met Francesco Sighieri with whom he founded his own first band successful, “The Zero Codes” which includes three other members. They get some success opening the Article 31 tours but when he meets the producer Lucio Fabbri he decides to undertake one career as a soloist also choosing his new stage name inspired by a piece by Fabrizio De André.
Thus in 2002 his first single of his career was released entitled “Solo tu” with which he made himself known to the program “Destination Sanremo” with the aim of entering the “Proposals”.

Join the Sanremo Festival with “We are all out there” with which he wins in the category to which he belongs, also winning the Press Room, Radio & TV Award. In 2003 he released his album and began his own first tour who sees her around all summer. Two years later he took part in the reality show “Music Farm”, winning the final televoting becoming more and more aware of the support of the public. His second album comes out, followed in 2006 by the third with which he embarks on his first European tour.
L’international activity it is increased thanks to the realization of some songs in foreign languages and by new tours. In fact it participates in German, French, Austrian and many other events with great success. On his return he opens two dates of Vasco Rossi’s tour and then participates in events such as the Carthage International Festival.
Back to participate in the Sanremo Festival in 2009 without being able to win the victory but managing to keep the song in the “Top Singles” for a few weeks. His album gets it again great success throughout the European panorama and national, thanks also to the participation of social events as “Friends for Abruzzo” to support the earthquake victims of L’Aquila alongside artists such as Noemi and Irene Grandi.

Dolcenera is dedicated to numerous projects that are varied between them.
