The career and biography of Davide Brunelli, the doctor specializing in dermatology who is reconstructing the face of Gessica Notaro, disfigured by acid.
Who is Davide Brunelli
The man who saves your skin. This is how the surgeon and dermatologist who stands is defined in his Instagram bio reconstructing the face of Gessica Notaro.
The model, scarred in 2017 with acid by her ex boyfriend, has experienced moments of hard despair but thanks to the team of doctors that follows her she is returning to rediscover life. Among these there is also Dr. Davide Brunelli, medical director of the Department of Dermatology at the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena which deals with the reconstruction of the woman’s face.
Born in 1965, the doctor first obtained the classical high school and then the degree in Medicine with full marks.
He then decides to obtain the specialization in Dermatology and Venereology and in 1995 he began working at the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena in contact with severe burns. Thanks to his long experience in the burns and dermatology sector, Dr. Brunelli is proving to be a highly prestigious professional also working with Gessica Notaro.
Gradually the interventions carried out on Gessica Notaro’s face are giving her back her features, those that her tormentor wanted to erase with acid.
Thanks from Gessica Notaro
Notaro posted some videos and photos on her Instagram profile after the success of her latest speech, expressing gratitude and happiness:
THIS IS A TURNING POINT IN MY LIFE. Because we begin to work not only on functionality but also on aesthetics: this intervention allows me to finally return to see myself with the features of before. The phenomenal Doctor Davide Brunelli literally sculpted my face. And so my real face begins to appear again, hidden by scars.
I have felt closed in a rubber mask for 4 years, I need to get out of it.
Already tonight, seeing myself in front of the post-operation mirror, I was enchanted by the doctor’s work. Happiness is skyrocketing. I’m moved. I cry for joy.
